Remove the park/turn signal lights with the removal card tool.

**Before you pull the bumper off, you have to disconnect this electrical harness connector. This is ONLY in the right wheel well.

First, Remove the connector off from its mount, below the headlight tab. Then separate connector apart.

**If you have headlight washer system, this hose must be disconnected. Its ONLY in the left wheel well. Pull this clip where the red arrow is, to unlock the hose coupler and pull hoses apart.

After all that, you can now slide forward the bumper off the car. Pull slowly and check for any electrical harnesses being caught in the light oppenings.

When installing the bumper cover back, beware of the these tabs behind the side park lights. Make sure they're grabbing the bumper inward.

For Installation of the bumper cover, just reverse the removal procedure.

INSTALLING GRILLE IN THE AIR INTAKES TO PROTECT RADIATORS.


I found this Grille material at Lowes/Homedepot. $30 for 3ft X 3ft. You could see my cel phone on the lower right to give you an idea of its size. This is actualy made/used to protect the lower half of screen doors from animals or children, hence the framing around it.

Enough to make 3+ grilles for the 997 air scoops/intakes.

Its my second time doing this. (Did this on the 996). I think this material is better 'cause it comes nicely painted from the factory. Paint seems powder coated and very smooth.

This grille material is soft enough for me to use a box cutter with new blade to cut it off from the frame.
There's anough material for three + intake size

Cut to size. Cut a little bigger so you could trim it later to the exact desired size. I just used simple scissors.
